Left-Wing Democrats' Out-FORCING of American Jobs

At a time when the slow-growth American economy is being painted by partisan Democrats as being "in recession" and as being "headed in the wrong direction" and as being "another Bush failure" -- none of which is true -- the two most targeted topics are the close-to-home, pocketbook issues of JOBS and GASOLINE PRICES.

While left-wing, Blame America First "Progressives" are quick to blame President Bush for this, and much more, it is they who are the guilty ones with respect to both of these deadly problems -- "guilty as sin," as the expression goes -- of mindlessly "outFORCING" millions of manufacturing and energy-related jobs over the past two or three decades.

In an energy-intensive global economy in which US-based employers must be fully competitive and profitable in order to survive at all, witness the many economic and regulatory burdens -- and the Less Energy at Higher Prices -- which the enviro-extremists and the Pelosi-Reid, Kennedy-Kerry, Clinton-Gore and Obama-Wrangel types have long been inflicting on all manner of American manufacturers and entrepreneurs, to the great advantage of foreign competitors:

o Strident NIMBY (not in my backyard) barriers to most new plant locations ---
particularly energy, petrochemical and heavy manufacturing facilities;

o Overly stringent environmental and "environmental justice" regulations and
restrictions and even prohibitions on both new and existing plants;

o Excessive taxation -- corporate, personal, capital gains, dividends and inheritance,

o Excessive paperwork, OSHA, Workman's Comp, enviro and other regulatory burdens;

o Mandating of cumulative fringe benefits and overhead costs which often exceed wages;

o Blocking of oil and gas exploration and production in the ANWR coastal plain

o Blocking of most new exploration and production on the Outer Continental Shelf

o Blocking of much oil and gas development on Western Federal lands;

o Blocking of all shale oil production from Western Federal Lands

o Blocking of new nuclear plants for over thirty (30) years

o Delaying centralized nuclear waste storage for over twenty (20) years

o Blocking of new petroleum refineries for over thirty (30) years

o Blocking of major tort reform and "class action" reform

o Opposing most hydro-power plants both proposed and even existing ones

o Mean-spirited and anti-business attitudes toward much of capitalist America,
thereby encouraging exodus to more employer-friendly locations.

It should be obvious on its face that no small part of the current "outsourcing" of certain jobs -- as well as the failure to create millions of others -- has been caused by the enormous accumulated negative impacts of these "outFORCING" policies and practices of the Big Government, anti-profits, tax-and-spend Democrats.

And it should be just as obvious that virtually every one of these "drags" on job creation and economic expansion will be made even more onerous, ruinous and maybe even fatal by the monumental "changes" which today's Obama-led Progressives are promising.

Truth be known, these are people whose current blame-game candidate for President wants to "CHANGE" things by raising taxes, tightening regulations, squeezing profits, limiting total energy supplies, and harassing most mining, blue-collar manufacturing, heavy construction and nuclear power initiatives even further.

And, of course, these are the same "just say no" and Blame America First "Eeeekologists" (scare-tactics environmentalists) who champion a wide variety of enormously restrictive "climate change" and "carbon footprint" policies -- which are quite literally devastating the economy and gravely endangering the national security.

Witness the mess we are in after only 18 months of the Pelosi-Reid Congress. Anyone who doubts the ruthless intentions of "Senator Changeable" (who incessantly flip-flops and who arrogantly applauds for himself) and his equally entranced followers to make the situation even worse should simply listen to their raucous, round-the-clock "Si, se Puede !" (Yes, we can!) campaign slogan.

Yes, they can continue the relentless "OutForcing" of American jobs ...but only if we blindly we allow them to do it to us.
