Dispatched to Hellfire by a "Hellfire" Missile

The CIA's recent termination of several high-ranking al Qaeda operatives in Pakistan by a Hellfire missile attack from an unmanned Predator aircraft has produced relatively little public protest in that Muslim country -- or elsewhere in the Umma, the Muslim World. Protesters to date have been in the hundreds, rather than in the hundreds of thousands.
Could it be that the Pakistani Muslims are becoming both weary and wary of the Irhabist (terrorist) outsiders -- "exurgents" is the new label -- who are not only disrupting traditional tribal and family lives but are sinfully plotting and conducting atrocities throughout the world which are strictly "haram" (forbidden by Islam)?
Although virtually unknown and un-quoted in the inattentive West, a major fatwa (religious edict) by senior clerics and scholars from no fewer than 58 Pakistani Muslim organizations was issued on May 17 of last year, proclaiming among other things that:
- "...anybody who kills thinking it permissible in Islam commits infidelity. Therefore, according according to Shari'a, killing any Muslim while thinking it to be a reason to get into Heaven or earn good deeds is Haram (forbidden in Islam); and
- "...Therefore, killing Muslims in mosques or public gatherings by blasting bombs, firing or carrying out suicidal missions is forbidden. And not only forbidden but considering it to be permissible in Islam a clear infidelity. And it is an unforgivable sin;" and
- "..According to this verse [Holy Qur'an 4:93], a deliberate murderer has been condemned forever to Hell, along with the condemnation of Allah and with great and painful punishment. ...and none but Allah can forgive such a person."
Although this widely endorsed edict was applied only to terrorist activities within Pakistan, its statement of certain Islamic fundamentals is so clear as to defy the limits of national boundaries. It goes so far as to condemn to Hellfire those plainly deviant and unrepentant Muslims who plot and conduct mass killings of fellow Muslims.
Since this Muslim-on-Muslim genocide has become al Qaeda's principal tactic of Hirabah (unholy war) in Iraq and elsewhere, it may be dawning on authentic Muslims in Pakistan that the viscous Arab hyenas in their midst are not the "mujahiddin" and "martyrs" they claim to be but are what the Holy Qur'an calls mufsiduun (evildoers, mortal sinners, corruptors), instead.
Instructive to these people is not only their own clerics' and scholars' fatwa, cited above, but also a March 11, 2005 edict by over 40 Spanish Muslim clerics (mostly Sunnis, by the way) which sharply condemned Osama bin Laden -- and by implication Ayman Al-Zawahiri and other senior AQ irhabis -- as an "apostate" and an "infidel" and as being guilty of "istihlal."
The latter is the mortal sin of "playing God," by arrogantly ignoring the rules and admonitions of the Qur'an and concocting one's own ruthless perversion of Shari'a (Islamic Law). Among at least two dozen de facto desecrations of authentic Islam by these several dead terrorists and their murderous ilk are the following ten transgressions -- all of them both ruthless and unrepented:
- Wanton killing of innocents and noncombatants, including many peaceful Muslims
- Decapitating the live and desecrating the dead bodies of perceived enemies
- Committing and enticing others to commit suicide for reasons of intimidation
- Fomenting hatred among communities, nations, religions and civilizations
- Ruthless warring against nations in which Islam is freely practiced
- Issuing and inspiring unauthorized and un-Islamic fatwas (religious edicts)
- Using some mosques as weapons depots and battle stations, while destroying others
- Forcing extremist and absolutist versions (and perversions) of Islam on Muslims, when the Qur'an clearly says that there shall be "no compulsion in religion"
- Distorting the word "infidels" to include all Christians, all Jews and many Muslims, as well -- when the Qur'an calls them all "Children of the Book" (the Old Testament) and "Sons of Abraham," and calls Jesus one of Islam's five main Prophets
- Deliberate misreading, ignoring and perverting of passages of the Qur'an, the Hadith and the Islamic Jurisprudence (the Fiqh)
Taken together, all of these khawarij (outside the religion) rejections of and direct insults to the "peaceful, compassionate, merciful and just" Allah who is repeatedly so described by the Qur'an constitute nothing short of an apostasy against authentic, Qur'anic Islam -- the punishment for which is, of course, death in this life and Eternal Hellfire in the next.
Ironically, and presumably in the Will of Allah, it was an Amerian "Hellfire" missile which sent several of these al Qaeda infidels and apostates -- as so defined by both the Pakistani and the Spanish fatwas -- to their just rewards in Shaitan's Eternal Hellfire (Jahannam).
"Reparations" at the Political and Humanitarian Levels
Finally, at the political as opposed to the religious level, recommendations are hereby made to the Administration that
First, the unclaimed $5 million in reward money for the al Qaeda's chief bomb maker who was dispatched to Hellfire by the "Hellfire" missile be contributed to an appropriate Afghan (and/or Pakistani) widows and orphans fund for survivors of soldiers and police killed by the al Qaeda irhabis; that
Second, the tribes and the families of each of the certifiably innocent Pakistanis -- apparently about a dozen -- who were accidentally killed in the attack on the Al Qaeda fomenters and planners of suicide mass murder be accorded reparations of $20,000, half to the surviving family and half to the Tribe(s) for humanitarian uses in the communities affected; and that
Third, the appropriate Tribal Chief(s) or Council(s) -- as identified by the Pakistani Government -- be accorded the dignity and privilege of distributing half of these funds to surviving families and of using the other half in charitable ways that are in keeping with tribal custom and with locally accepted Shari'a.
In this way, the needs and desires of the families, the Tribe(s) and the community at large would be honored and served to the fullest, and we would not become involved in complex judgements of identity and eligibility for reparations for collateral damages to (apparent)innocents which were unintended and are, of course, deeply regretted.
I use the term "apparent" innocents because some of the dinner hosts for al Qaeda planners of suicide mass murder and other apostate acts of hatred and Hirabah might well be just as guilty and as mortally sinful in the eyes of Allah as were their patently unholy guests.
