Al-Zarqawi's Apostasy

Always posing as the noble al Qaeda "Lion" (so designated by Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri) but always acting like the ignoble and bloodthirsty al Qaeda Hyena -- Thebah al-Qaeda -- which he actually was, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is dead.

Dispatched to Hellfire by what might have been one or more American "Hellfire" missiles (or their smart-bomb equivalents), this evildoer's demise is but a foretaste of the fate of Osama bin Laden himself, who last year designated Zarqawi his "Emir" -- his official Prince -- in Iraq and has never rescinded that personal anointing.

Of course, there are already the usual assertions of this genocidal killer's "martyrdom" and his glorious entry into Paradise, with or without the 72 virgins at his bloody fingertips.

But any such Irhabi (a.k.a.so-called "Jihadi") propaganda is nothing but an insult to Allah and a monumental desecration of the Holy Qur'an -- which clearly prohibits all such satanic al Qaeda-style "works" as the following:

• Wanton killing of innocents and noncombatants, including many peaceful Muslims
• Decapitating the live and desecrating the dead bodies of perceived enemies
• Committing and enticing others to commit suicide for reasons of intimidation
• Fomenting hatred among communities, nations, religions and civilizations
• Ruthless warring against nations in which Islam is freely practiced
• Issuing and inspiring unauthorized and un-Islamic fatwas (religious edicts)
• Using some mosques as weapons depots and battle stations, while destroying others
• Forcing extremist and absolutist versions (and perversions) of Islam on Muslims, when the Qur'an clearly says that there shall be "no compulsion in religion"
• Distorting the word "infidels" to include all Christians, all Jews and many Muslims, as well -- when the Qur'an calls them all "People of the Book" (the Old Testament) and "Sons of Abraham," and calls Jesus one of Islam's five main Prophets and even its "Messiah"
• Deliberate misreading, ignoring and perverting of passages of the Qur'an, the Hadith and the Islamic Jurisprudence (the Fiqh)

Taken together, all of these khawarij (outside the religion) rejections of and direct insults to the "peaceful, compassionate, munificent, merciful and just" Allah who is repeatedly so described by the Qur'an constitute nothing short of a shameless apostasy against authentic, Qur'anic Islam -- the punishment for which is, of course, death in this life and Jahannam (Eternal Hellfire) in the next.

Unmasking "The Al Qaeda Apostasy"

At a time when all manner of legitimate and necessary analyses of the "true meanings" of the al-Zarqawi death will now be filling the media, the think tanks and the US Government centers of strategic thinking, the vital "good v evil" and "hearts, minds and souls" aspects of this event should receive their full share of attention.

In terms of what the demise of AQ's "Emir of Death" means to Islam and to the Umma (the entire Muslim World), several fundamental questions should now be asked -- the answers to which will reveal whether the respondents, whether Muslim or otherwise, believe that the hyena-likes of bin Laden and al-Zarqawi stand shoulder to shoulder with Allah, or are in apostate service to Shaitan, instead.

With the long list of willful and ruthless violations of Qur'anic standards enumerated above as the guide, here are the questions which should prompt all truly faithful Muslims to opt for the latter conclusion -- and to begin using the truth-in-Islam terms and frames of reference which correctly describe and condemn it as such:

Question: What is al Qaeda doing in the world today? Is it the so-called holy-war "Jihad" bin Laden claims it to be, or is it best described by the ancient Islamic word "Hirabah" -- which means unholy war and forbidden "war against society," or what we would today call "crimes against humanity?"

Question: Who are the fomenters and perpetrators of such violent activities? Are they the so-called "Jihadis" and "mujahedeen" (holy warriors) and "shahiddin" (martyrs) they claim to be? Or are they the "irhabiyoun" (terrorists) and the "mufsidoon" (evildoers and mortal sinners) which their pseudo-religious criminality seems to indicate?

Question: According to the above stated prohibitions which are certifiably evident in the Qur'an, are these people (of the UBL, al-Zarqawi and al-Zawahiri varieties) destined for Allah's Paradise as they pretend, or are they far more likely destined for Shaitan's Jahannam (Eternal Hellfire), instead?

Question: Taken as a whole, does al Qaeda-style suicide mass murder and other forms of violence, hatred and mayhem constitute an embodiment of the Qur'an and of certifiably true-to-Islam Shari'ah (Islamic Law), or is it in the nature of an apostasy (murtadd or irtidad), instead -- The Al Qaeda Apostasy, to be exact?

Question: With reference to the "99 Names of Allah" by which the Qur'an describes the nature of Allah Himself (the Compassionate, the Merciful, the Munificent, the Peaceful, the Just, the Light, etc.), do al Qaeda's so-called Jihadi "works" seem to be an abd' Allah (Servants of Allah) reflection of these most holy and positive values?

Or do they represent the antithesis of Allah -- and define neo-Leninist bin Ladenism in such abd' al-Shaitan (Servant of Satan) terms as The Cruel, The Selfish, The Merciless, The Arrogant, the Unforgiving and the Darkness?

An excellent guide to the proper answers to these questions is the remarkable but largely ignored March 11, 2005 fatwa issued by 41 Spanish Muslim clerics, mostly Sunnis, on the first anniversary of Spain's 9/11-equivalent -- which was the kind of atrocity that al-Zarqawi has been inflicting on the Iraqi people almost every day.

This was the religious edict which sharply condemned Osama bin Laden by name as an "apostate" and an "infidel" and as being guilty of the supremely arrogant sin of "istihlal."

The latter is UBL's cardinal offense of "playing God" by trying to re-invent Islam into his own satanic image and, therefore, into nothing but a perpetual killing machine of all Christians, all jews and all Muslims who happen to disagree.

This is the hyena-like slaughter house which Prince al-Zarqawi was operating so brutally for him in Iraq, and for which he is almost surely roasting in Satan's Jahannam.
